CHALLENGES
- Handling fragile, unbalanced loads
- Labor-intensive processes requiring multiple operators
- Risk of product damage due to manual sling use
- Overhead crane inefficiencies
SOLUTION
Liftsafe provided ergonomic push & pull workstation crane systems with 2-speed electric chain hoists and custom load-balancing handling devices. These devices were custom engineered by Liftsafe‘s in-house engineering team and were manufactured at their Canadian facility. These systems reduced labor by 50% while improving safety and precision.
A recent Liftsafe client, who is a leader in custom curtain wall manufacturing, faced challenges in safely transporting delicate, asymmetrical loads. Their existing process relied on manual slings and large overhead cranes, requiring multiple technicians and posing risks of product damage.
As a trusted partner who has been in the industry for 30+ years, Liftsafe was consulted to redesign the crane systems and workflow. The solution was six ergonomic workstation crane systems featuring:
- Low-profile designs (custom L-brackets) to coexist with existing overhead cranes.
- Custom glass-curtain-wall grabs for secure, balanced handling.
- Two-speed electric hoists for precision control.
Our customer is very please in their investment and continue to work with Liftsafe on new projects and inspections and maintenance services.
