A recent Liftsafe client who is a leader in custom curtain wall manufacturing, faced challenges in safely transporting delicate, asymmetrical loads. Their existing process relied on manual slings and large overhead cranes, requiring multiple technicians and posing risks of product damage.
As a trusted partner who has been in the industry for 30+ years, Liftsafe Engineering was consulted to redesign the crane systems and workflow. The solution was six ergonomic workstation crane systems featuring:
- Low-profile designs (custom L-brackets) to coexist with existing overhead cranes.
- Custom glass-curtain-wall grabs for secure, balanced handling.
- Two-speed electric hoists for precision control.
The new systems cut labor requirements in half, allowing a single operator to safely handle loads that previously required multiple workers. Product damage risks were greatly reduced thanks to the balanced, secure lifting solution. The project was delivered in just 10 weeks to a satisfied customer, with minor refinements made after necessary facility testing.
Polytainers Overhead Bridge Crane
Working with Liftsafe to install an overhead bridge crane with 136 feet of runways and added support structure allowed Polytainers to move equipment safely and efficiently without having to add new manufacturing space.
80 foot 1 ton Jib Crane
Installed at a nuclear reactor mock-up facility, our team at Liftsafe engineered, designed, manufactured, installed, and inspected an 80′ 1 Ton Jib Crane system. Designed to operate in 50 km/h sustained wind speed, this specific Jib Crane extends 35′ through a custom rooftop hatch opening.
