Gear Case Inspection
Cranes have a number of critical components which include: couplings, wire ropes, below-the-hook devices and gear cases. It is important that all of these crane components have regular inspections and are part of a preventative maintenance program.
When a crane is being used heavily or has been in service for many years, it’s Gear Cases will eventually start to fatigue and gain other adverse characteristics. In some situations, they have been known to fail when a load is in the air causing it to drop. This demonstrates the need for Gear Cases to be inspected annually.
As is standard with all of our inspections; your inspections will be performed via a wireless tablet and data will be uploaded to a Customer Portal for viewing within 24 hours. At this time, you will be able to track what work has been performed, what repairs are required, and track all of your equipment information in one secure location.
What sets our inspections apart from our competition? Learn about our process, customer portal, and industry-leading wireless inspections here.
