CHAIN & NYLON SLINGS  As part of SALA, the world’s largest fall protection manufacturer, Can-Sling continues to introduce new performance enhanced products into the web sling, chain, wire rope, tie down and safety equipment markets. Can-Sling continues to forge ahead with expansion of it’s product lines as well as it’s production facility. This enables the company to meet the growing, specialized needs of it’s customers. TYPE I - TRIANGLE CHOKER Triangle & choker fittings are flame cut, 100,000lbs. minimum yield, high-tensile steel. Type I steel fittings provide capabilities for both single and double ply synthetic web-slings in vertical, choker and basket hitches. the triangle glides easily through the choker to provide a smooth even choke in single leg lifts. TYPE II - TRIANGLE-TRIANGLE Triangle fittings are flame cut, 100,000 lbs. minimum yield, high-tensile steel. Type II steel fittings provide capabilities for both single and double-ply synthetic web slings, in vertical and basket hitches. TYPE III - FLAT EYE & EYE SLING This eye is formed by folding back the webbing and sewing it flat against the body. TYPE IV TWISTED EYE & EYE SLING This webbing is turned 180° before sewing, to form an eye which lies 90° to the sling body. This allows for easier use in a choker hitch configuration. TYPE V - ENDLESS OR GROMMET The webbing is overlapped at the stitch pattern to form a continuous or endless sling. Areas of hook contact are tapered on slings from 3” width and up to fit standard hook sizes. 1, 2 & 3 Ply available. For type 5 slings, Diamond EdgeTM webbing is available in widths from 1” to 6”. Widths of 8”, 10” & 12” are standard in yellow, resin treated nylon or polyester webbing. TYPE VI - RETURN EYE Perhaps the most durable synthetic sling of all, an endless sling with the body sewn together to form eyes at each end, which are 90° to the sling. The sling body is then covered with tough, abrasion resistant cordura webbing; endless sling strength, eye & eye flexibility, long lasting wear-resistant body. 1,2 & 3 ply available. For type 6 slings, Diamond Edge™ webbing is available in widths from 1” thru 6”, excluding light duty webbing. TYPE VIII - LIGHT DUTY/UTILITY SLINGS Light duty or utility web slings are made from orange resin treated webbing. Not available in Diamond Edge™ webbing. Available single or double ply. Can-Sling products are manufactured for conformance and compliance. Can-Sling offers a complete inspection and repair service for every sling that they manufacture, in compliance with OHSA section 51- (1)(b)(ii). This regulation states that a “lifting device shall be thoroughly examined by a competent person* to determine its capability of handling the maximum load as rated, at least once a year.” Their procedure involves an in-plant or in-house inspection and, if necessary, repair, proof-testing, re-inspection and re-certification. A detailed inspection report and quotation are provided before repairs are completed. * “Competent Person means someone who i) is qualified because of knowledge, training and experience to organize the work and performance, ii) is familiar with the provisions of the Act and the regulations that apply to the work, and iii) has knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the workplace. Slings are available in GR80 and GR100 alloy, as well as GR50 stainless steel. |
