Man Lift Inspections
Legislative Requirements
In conformance with CSA B354.1 - Portable Elevated Working Platforms, MOL requirements and equipment manufacturer’s maintenance / service bulletins, “A complete and comprehensive visual and operational inspection will be made of the entire unit to ensure the unit’s structural integrity and compliance with all applicable standards”.
Inspections: As stated in the CSA B345.1, “annual inspections shall be performed by a qualified person, to all critical and suspect areas and all accessible structural elements and welds”. Structural Inspections: “Shall be performed ten (10) years after the date of manufacture and every five (5) thereafter, and the structural inspection shall be carried out under the direction of a Professional Engineer”.

Documentation
Upon completion of the inspection, Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group Inc. will provide full computer generated reports for each unit that has been inspected/tested and will fully interpret and analyze the results with the company appointed representative. After each unit is inspected, a certificate of inspection placard will be affixed to the unit.
Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group Inc. will examine all structural pins using Ultrasonic testing methods. Our competent inspectors will ensure there are no cracked, damaged, or sheared pins.
Each accessible critical weld will be examined visually with the assistance of our non-destructive methods of magnetic particle and/or dye penetrant inspection when deemed necessary.
